# Website builder dictionary changes after collection (2026-09-26)

brands_original.csv = dictionary as fixed before collection. brands.csv = dictionary used for the final coding run. Both ship with the dataset. Two changes, made after collection and before the final coding run, found while checking the answers against the dictionary:

1. Framer: alias "framer.com" added (was "framer" only). "framer" is a case-sensitive alias, so it matches only the capitalized word. The model often names Framer by its address as a link label, "[framer.com]", which the capitalized-only alias could not match. Effect: q026 "best website builder for landing pages" Framer listed -> recommended (the line is "[framer.com] ... best overall"); q062 "squarespace alternatives" Framer passing -> listed; q070 "free alternative to wix" Framer not coded -> listed.
2. Ghost: alias "ghost.org" added (was "ghost" only), same reason. Effect: q062 "squarespace alternatives" Ghost not coded -> recommended ("Best for blogging/content: [wordpress.com] or [ghost.org]").

No other alias, brand or domain changed. The other case-sensitive aliases (durable, lovable, hugo, tilda, cargo, square) were checked the same way: no answer names those brands only by a lowercase address. The coder, the codebook (v1.5) and the case-sensitive list in CASE_SENSITIVE.txt are unchanged.

Net effect on the coded data: 406 -> 408 coded mentions; recommended 294 -> 296; Framer 23 -> 25 appearances and 18 -> 19 recommendations; Ghost 8 -> 9 appearances and recommendations. Recommended mentions whose brand's site is not in Google's top ten: 249 of 294 -> 251 of 296 (85 percent both times). No citation figure changes (framer.com and ghost.org were already brand domains).

Checked and left unchanged:
- WordPress credited through Elementor or Divi (INPUT_NOTES.md): Divi is never named in the 100 answers. Elementor is named in 4, and 3 of those also name WordPress on lines that do not mention Elementor or plugins. The fourth, q059 "elementor or webflow for a freelancer", codes WordPress recommended from a line that also carries an elementor.com link whose address contains "wordpress-vs-webflow" and the heading "Choose Webflow if you want"; a reader codes WordPress listed there (see coder-notes.md). Only 3 of WordPress's 60 appearances (q021, q059, q064) come from answers where every line naming WordPress is about a plugin, Elementor or WooCommerce, and q021 ("Pick: WordPress + IDX plugin") is a genuine pick. So the inflation is at most one recommendation.
- Bare "hubspot" credited to HubSpot Content Hub: "hubspot" appears in none of the 100 answers, so HubSpot Content Hub has zero mentions and the alias inflates nothing.
- Webstudio (open-source visual builder, webstudio.is) is named in 6 answers and Format (photography portfolio builder, deliberately excluded because the name is an ordinary word) in 5. Neither reaches the five-recommendation bar for a post-collection addition, so both stay out and are disclosed as undercounted.
